There could be a number of reasons for why your key/card isn’t working, which is why it’s really tricky to give a blanket answer that applies to all situations. The first thing to do would be to wipe your key/card to make sure that it’s clean and there’s no dirt interfering. It’s also recommended to blow into the slot that you insert the key/card into. If it’s a gas card that you’re having issues with, we’d then recommend inserting the card the wrong way in, so that it says that the card is not recognized. Finally, insert it in the right way, and it should work.
If this doesn't help, note down the meter serial number and the error code that’s appearing on your meter and contact our Support team. They have list of all error codes and what they mean.
