My key card is not working can you help?

There could be a number of reasons for why your key/card isn’t working, which is why it’s really tricky to give a blanket answer that applies to all situations. The first thing to do would be to wipe your key/card to make sure that it’s clean and there’s no dirt interfering. It’s also recommended to blow into the slot that you insert the key/card into.

If this doesn't help, note down the error code that’s appearing on your meter and post it in the comments below. One of our other users might be able to help, but if not, the Moderators will be able to step in to offer their assistance.

Hi thank u it was sorted but now i have another problem im decorating an ive missed placed both cards an i need to top up i cant access the moblie app to top up because its tellin me to call that daft number that nobody ever answer or gives u a call bk the whole of yesterday i was in que an still no anwer. I dont want to here any sorrys i just want sum1 there to help like on the phone so i can't understand them it's hard for me to understand people in the writing it down I can't read as good any way i need help plz

Misplaced gas top up card last week. Phoned on Saturday 16th engineer sent out to add credit. Also advised to phone again on Monday to gain "code" to allow me to gain new card for pay zone store. Phoned Monday 18th got code and was told all payzone stores have cards. Arrived at 4 pay zones stores to be told don't stock OVO/Boost gas cards. Phoned at 5pm was told 2 stores that had them. Visited both stores didn't stock them. Phoned back an engineer sent out again to add more credit and advised card would be sent out and will be received 3-5 working days. No card received to date tried phoning today and as it's not gas/carbon monoxide leak cant help 0800111999..... now have 50p and two kids 2 adults to get organised for work/school tomorrow Help please
Losses electricity key and have to get a new key but need a 8 digit number 1st the contact number line is closed until 8am tomorrow. I have young children in the property no electricity heating or hot water can’t do anything and have no where to go need urgent help please

Is it possible to have a spare pay as you go key for the electricity?
I've topped up my card and its not registering, my meter tells me emergency credit is available but I can't access it. I never asked to switch and now I'm left with no heating or hot water!!

Not really, @23B X Street, the key you top up with is registered to the meter. If you stop using the registered key, and start using another one you'll get an error message on the meter.

You need to ring boost as there is a technical problem for app and text topups. They will give you a long number to take to the shop to be able to topup at the shop instead of you using your topup card. Their number is 03301027517

I called boost today, 040120 as I cannot find my gas top up card. They advised I would be able to get a replacement 1 from where I top up but they dont have them and none of the other places have them. I have no gas for heating or cooking please can anybody help? I live in the south Lakeland area

My key for electric is not working at any shop that I try it at. I am currently out of emergency credit and don't know what to do.
