My card number isn't working at the PayPoint, why?

I have called customer service on a few occasions and they have provided me with a number to top up my meter. However each time I try to use the number in the shop to buy credit, an error message saying communication error payment rejected comes up. How can i top up my meter? is the meter faulty or is there an error with the numbers i am being provided with?

Have you got a photo of the receipt from the PayPoint, @Fkarim? This will have an error message on, can you confirm what it is?
