I have a smart meter on pay as you go but i find it quite frustrating that it shows estimated bill and not my pay as you go balance. I am always in credit but if i want to find out my balance i have to look on the app.

Good question @Cathxx

With PAYG+ the smart meter and the IHD acts like a normal credit meter. All of the prepayment features are online instead.

If you wanted to see your live balance on each meter and the IHD, you might prefer the smart PAYG standard option: https://forum.boostpower.co.uk/smart-payg-5/what-is-payg-and-how-does-it-work-12.

My meter used to count down the credit as I used it on my previous supplier.
Now it just shows me how much I've put on since changing to ovo.
How can I get it to show me how much credit I have instead of what I've spent for the year?
Hey @Ian

Your In Home Display (IHD) unit's estimated bill screen refers to the amount of energy you’ve used since the hub was connected to your meter. This will only ever be an estimated figure and will only refresh at the end of your contract.

To view your credit balance, daily/weekly/monthly costs and top up history - you'll need to refer to the app or you online account.

Hope this helps,
Emily

Hi I am new to boost and pre paid metres. I am on payg+. I have a smart meter and have an app I can top up with my my meter says est bill and doesnt match my app. Why is this?
Hey @Sam87 - I've moved your query over to an existing thread on this very topic! Just take a look at my earlier comment for more info.
I've recently changes over to Boost energy. I put £20 on both gas and electric before the chang went ahead. Now instead of having how much credit I have left on the smart it's say estimated bill.
How do i change it back to pay as you go and where is money gone What was previously on my metre
