I am assisting a friend with a boost problem. She said she has only ever managed to top up her gas meter once at her local shop using a code provided by Boost customer support. However on subsequent attempts to top up this code has resulted in errors when any local shops have entered it into their terminals. She thinks she is on a Boost PAYG tariff but her gas supply has not been disconnected despite only ever topping up by £5.
Question: Would a Boost gas supply continue uninterrupted even when not topped up? Or is it possible Boost have closed her account?

It sounds like your friend has a smart meter, and it’s not deducting their usage correctly. As a result, the meter never gets to 0 and never disconnects.
This might happen due to signal issues or something that’s been set up wrong. Can you get them to reach out to our Support team ASAP to check: 0330 102 7517
They might not be topping up enough to cover their usage…..
