When will I receive my Warm Home Discount payment?

Hi. I was accepted for the warm home discount on 18th October. I’ve still not received the payment on to my account. Could you tell me how much longer it will be? Thanks

It should be added within 6 weeks of receiving your confirmation email. Please be aware the Ofgem deadline for making payments is the end of March 2019, but we're aiming to make them sooner than this.

If your application is currently in the process of being checked, this might take longer. We have to "validate" 5 to 10% of applications by asking for supporting documents from the DWP. This process can take 6 to 8 weeks too, after which you'll be sent information about the outcome.

If you’ve been accepted for the Warm Home Discount, we’re aiming to get the payment to you within 6 weeks of the acceptance, just like last year! We do have until March 2020 to get the payments done, but I’m sure it’ll be sooner than that!

Its a shame you didn't get the payment within the 6 week time frame that Boost try to offer. Worst case scenario, you’ll get the payment by the end of March, which is the actual deadline Boost have to work to.

Hey @mrmarkiep, I’ve moved your message here, as it’s relevant to this topic.

 

It can take up to 10 weeks for validation to be completed, I can appreciate that’s quite a long time. We have to deal with the Department for Work and Pensions to get validation completed, which is why we have to give a longer timeframe, as it’s less predictable when dealing with a third party.

once you approve eligibility for payment, why dont you just process it then, and make you payment, you have there money to do so, so why make people who need it wait. I explanation, not the rules, not an excuse, a reason, is there one?

The winter warm discount says on my account that it will be added before 27 January 2020 which is today?. Does anyone know if this is actually going to go on in time or not?? thankyou :)

I applied for the warm home discount and had an email 17th October saying I would hear within 5 working days. Today 11th November I still haven't heard anything. After phone calls to customer service I'm still no further forward can somebody help? Thanks

Wish they were open. Got a letter from our local council reminding me it's time to claim. Mind you I do have nearly £120 saved in my winter wallet so that will help.

HI I filled out the form on line for the warm home discount and haven't had a conformation e mail.... I'm worried that my form didn't go through. I am intitaled as I got it last year... what do I do can someone guide me please...

Still not received my warm home discount I've got the old metres and said I would receive a letter this was 2 weeks ago phoned boost today and said should be with me soon x
