When will I receive my Warm Home Discount payment?

I applied for the warm home discount and had an email 17th October saying I would hear within 5 working days. Today 11th November I still haven't heard anything. After phone calls to customer service I'm still no further forward can somebody help? Thanks

The winter warm discount says on my account that it will be added before 27 January 2020 which is today?. Does anyone know if this is actually going to go on in time or not?? thankyou :)

If you’ve been accepted for the Warm Home Discount, we’re aiming to get the payment to you within 6 weeks of the acceptance, just like last year! We do have until March 2020 to get the payments done, but I’m sure it’ll be sooner than that!

once you approve eligibility for payment, why dont you just process it then, and make you payment, you have there money to do so, so why make people who need it wait. I explanation, not the rules, not an excuse, a reason, is there one?

Hey @mrmarkiep, I’ve moved your message here, as it’s relevant to this topic.


It can take up to 10 weeks for validation to be completed, I can appreciate that’s quite a long time. We have to deal with the Department for Work and Pensions to get validation completed, which is why we have to give a longer timeframe, as it’s less predictable when dealing with a third party.

Its a shame you didn't get the payment within the 6 week time frame that Boost try to offer. Worst case scenario, you’ll get the payment by the end of March, which is the actual deadline Boost have to work to.
