It’s that time of year again - we have opened the Warm Home Discount applications! Find this application form here: https://www.ovoenergy.com/warm-home-discount.

Just to remind you, the Warm Home Discount is a government run scheme that provides a one-off payment of £140 off energy bills to help customers keep warm over winter. Broader Group customers will need to apply to receive the rebate.

Please be aware the rebate fund is limited to the OVO market share. Therefore, we will be offering rebates to 24 000 customers on a first come first serve basis. Core Group customer do not need to apply. The Department of Work and Pensions will advise you of eligibility and send you a letter.

Just remember you must be in receipt of the Guaranteed Element of Pension credit and be on supply with OVO on the 09/07/2017 to receive the rebate. If you have been successful in your application we will advise you and apply the rebate within 6 weeks of receiving your application. We might ask some of you for additional evidence. This is a process that we’re told to follow by the industry regulator OFGEM in order to double check that you meet the eligibility criteria. Don’t worry, if this is something we require we will let you know with plenty of notice. So there’s the Warm Home Discount in a nutshell. Is the process still managed by charis grants? If so could you provide the helpline number for others who may need to contact them directly please

Those applying to the broader group, a heads up - if in receipt of benefit it would be worth contacting the benefit department and ask for proof of benefit to be sent to you - this way you will have the additional evidence requested from the administers of the WHD (I've been "selected at random" the last two years to provide this proof but wasn't given a great deal of time to gather the evidence)
How do i know if i can get warm home discount and if so how do i apply for it

Go Boost! Woke up to an email advising not only have i migrated to Boost but they've also credited my WHD to my account. Thank you and excellent stuff Boost team.

I'm waiting on mine be credited, shouldn't be long though as it's nearly 6 weeks since I was notified I was getting it. mattj3135, when was your notification date??

I am still waiting for someone from boost to contact me about getting my payment as I have still not received it first one of them says to go to there Facebook page and they would get me sorted well I don't do business on Facebook so then they said they would be in touch on the forum and I am still waiting but this is tipical of OVO/boost customer services in my experience

applied online partner disabled .always apply .told ive missed it.last year had to ring up as theyd missed us again...changed from ovo to boost and missed out .just wrong this is 3 bedroom house radiators too small so was told by solon plumber house always cold have child under 16 .just wrong.

I’m sorry to hear that you missed out on this. The application window was open for a good few months to allow customers plenty of time to apply. Once we’ve reached our quota, applications will close for the Broader group.

Received home discount last year. But not yet received this year's and normally would of been credited by now. Please could you help with this in any way. Thank you
