Is there any help available if you have a serious illness?

Hi guys I was diagnosed with cancer in April and I thought I would ask in here if there is any help with heating bills during the winter months or a lower tariff? Thanks in advance

hi @Bluebigboyblue Boost have the Warm Home Discount scheme which is a one off payment of £140 to your electricity account if successful in the application process. Search Warm Home Discount at the top of this page you will find topics on this along with the link to preregister your interest for when the application window opens

these might be worth a look as well: https://www.boostpower.co.uk/help/topics/all-about-boost/what-is-the-priority-services-register.html

Hi @Bluebigboyblue,

It'd also definitely be worth registering on our Priority Services. You can find out more about this and a link to the signup form here.

Hope this helps!

Great! Thanks Nancy and I certainly will sign up for priority services
Please can someone help me out. I’m on a standard payg meter. I have been to the shop and topped up the card and have gone to put it on a says “0 on card” i have the receipt and the auth code. I am in the emergency but that will go anytime soon. I have 4 young children under 10 and a partner who is on palliative care for cancer who relies on the heat so I am starting to panic a bit. I have phoned every number I can find for boost and have the same answer that they are shut till Monday morning and have also spent a fortune ringing the £3.90 boost numbers to be greeted with the same answer phone message.
Thank you for your time and help. Yes I will definitely be bringing this up in conversation when I finally get to talk to them.
Kind regards
Lisa

Yea I've just been looking in my boost booklet and unfortunately cannot find anymore phone numbers I share your frustration and it makes you think about situations out of hours am hoping they get back to you today if they do I think would be good to mention the lack of a out of hours emergency number as this for sure would be a way of improving boost service

Hiya, thank you for your response. I messaged them via Facebook yesterday around 7pm and still no reply. Think it’s disgusting that there is no emergency contact number and you have to go through Facebook? Just lucky that it’s not freezing out.
regards Lisa
