Another week, another top tip!

My colleague Amy has written a great article about what to do if you run out of credit and get left in the dark. She’s not speaking from experience, though, Amy loves to sit in the dark in total silence. She says it’s like a “floatation tank without the water”.

On to the Energy Saving Top Tip of the week!

Energy Saving Top Tip #9: Change Them light bulbs! - £270

They say “you’ve gotta spend money to make money”, and this is definitely the case when it comes to saving energy.

One of the more effective ways to make a saving is to swap out your light bulbs with LED bulbs. They can be a bit more expensive than a regular bulb, but switching them over can save you around £27 per year, PER BULB! If you swap out 10 bulbs in your house, you’ll end up saving a whopping £270 a year! That’s the equivalent of 5 Lego Arc De Triomphes!

So far with these tips, we have saved enough for:

120 Mr Freeze Pops
85 Kinder Eggs
1 UV protective golf hat
1 karaoke set
1 medical dog vest
1 giant Pingu plush toy
1 Executive Aluminium Door Sign or 1 Ultimate Spiderman backpack per person
2m x 5m of astroturf
5 Lego Arc De Triomphes

Monetary value - £921

Just so you know, we now have a Top Tips Collection, which is an archive for all of these! If you think of a Tip that you want to share with us, your name will be forever praised in the collection!
