Can I move away from Boost when I have debt on my account?

Hello,

Due to a long debate with Boost or formally OVO I have gained 1600 of debt - due to meters not communicating.. and a card not being sent - Yet I requested the card. Thought I was on pay monthly. obviously not. Anyway. Boost is far to expensive and I am moving house and don't want to use boost.  Would I be able to set up a direct debit to pay the debt off as there is no way I can pay 1600 off in one go and don't want to stay with boost when other companies are far cheaper

Hi @ant3b999,

Generally speaking we would object to a switch on account with this level of debt. However, this might be worth discussion with our Collections team. You can reach them on 0800 069 9831 between 8am and 8pm on weekdays, or 9am and 2pm on a Saturday.

Cheers,

Nancy
