Hi I’m another person who has received a notification to say my whd will be answered in 5 working days. This was submitted over a week ago but I still have had no response. Please could you check my account?

Oh yes for sure it's worthwhile £140 is a sizeable chunk of cash by anyone's standards and you'll know whether you being successful as you'll recieve a email from ovo the parent company of boost informing you of decesion I keep everything crossed for a sucesfull application

WARNING!!! IF YOU HAVE APPLIED BUT NOT RECIEVED A REPLY WITHIN 5 DAYS, CALL THEM!!!! I WAITED 10 DAYS TO BE TOLD THEY HAD NOT RECIEVED MY APPLICATION DESPITE ME RECIEVING A CONFIRMATION AS SOON AS I FILLED OUT THE FORM. A LOT OF VULNERABLE PPL WILL MISS OUT ON THE SCHEME IF YOU DONT CHECK THIS OUT.

I applied online and didn't get an email either. I DM'd them on twitter and had it confirmed that it had been accepted.

Im checking the app daily hoping to see it green one morning for a change!

Hello all 🙂 I changed to boost from eon and I saw the ad about warm home discount so thought I would apply for it, I applied for it on the 9th November 2018 which was the same day as I moved over to boost, I was very surprised that I heard back on the 12th November 2018 saying that I have been accepted, now that is good quality service far better than eon.

@Emily_Boost 6 weeks after?? It says on the acceptance email within 6 weeks of the date of the email

I can't believe how much the electric is charging me I come down of a morning and it's saying I've used x amount in the night on average I am using £3 a day really expensive ...
£3 a day blimey wish mine was that I'm using £9 a day apparently!!!

This companies a joke every application should be validated and done in date orderif im honest ive never had any problems with ovo/boost and the prices have always been alright for me,its just getting this credited thats the pain :)


same for me, always comes up as the lowest price on comparison sites. the problem with the whd is down to the government's rules that it depends on market share as to how many people they help through the broader group rules.

i have a smart meter and received an email with confirmation Ive been accepted for WHD . Is it 6weeks from the email or 6weeks from the DWP confermation that I will be credited ?

hi @Emmab1983 have you checked the junk folder? my notification email came from an ovo energy email address and ended up in my junk folder.

if not in the junk folder, please reach out to the boost customer care team via facebook twitter, email or phone where theyll be happy to advise.

ive had no communication stating they want more evidence, its been 6 weeks since acceptance email saying i was successful etc. if they dont pay & try fob me off with evidence rubbish i will complain to ofgem and get my mp to back me up then change supplier ASAP

I think a lot of people on here are getting confused between applying and being accepted onto the whd scheme. i applied on the 17th oct and received an email 2 days later telling me my application had been received, not accepted on to the scheme, just received. Then on 9th Nov i got a letter through the door stating i was accepted onto the whd scheme and that my payment would be applied to my account within 6 weeks from the date of the letter, which works out to be around 14th dec. If your application was received it doesn't neccesarily mean you have been accepted onto the scheme. So it's not 6 weeks from when you apply, it's six weeks from when you were accepted on to the whd scheme, big difference.

I applied on 16th then the 18th i had a email telling me i was getting it

It should be added within 6 weeks of receiving your confirmation email. We're working really hard at the moment to make sure our customers get their payments within this time frame.

Please be aware the Ofgem deadline for making payments is the end of March 2019, but we're aiming to make them sooner than this.
